Bio:
Mr. Owsley was the previous director of the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) initiative at Rockhurst High School where he used to teach AP Calculus II. He was formerly the chair of the Mathematics department for six years. He earned a BA in Mathematics from the University of Rochester, a MAT from Webster University and an MS in Educational Leadership from St. Joseph's University.
About the course:
This Fall’s course focuses on Geometry. Geometry focuses on questions of shape, size, space and relative position. The concept has clear practical applications, represents a critical standardized test topic, and forms the basis for most engineering disciplines.
NOTE: The course will be offered in person at Rockhurst High School at Room 121.
