Summer Math+ 2021 - Fairfield, CT

Mr. Chap is a mathematics and physics teacher at Fairfield College Preparatory School in Fairfield, CT. He has been an educator for 17 years, with 13 of those years spent at the middle school level in Baltimore, MD and New York City. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame and holds a master’s degree in education from Loyola University Maryland.
This Summer, the Math+ course will focus on Number Theory – the study of integers (e.g., -1, 2, 3). Over the six classes, we will explore different aspects of this critical concept and will learn what Number Theory is and how it relates to computer applications and important topics including cryptography.
NOTE: The course will be hosted via Zoom and will be held on the dates and times below in Eastern Time. As the course is virtual, students do not have to be based in Fairfield to enroll.
