Instructor: Greg Owsley

Level: Middle School (6th-8th)

Mr. Owsley is the director of the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) initiative at Rockhurst High School where he teaches AP Calculus II. He was formerly the chair of the Mathematics department for six years. He earned a BA in Mathematics from the University of Rochester, a MAT from Webster University and an MS in Educational Leadership from St. Joseph's University.

This Spring, the Math+ program will be focused on the concept of Infinity. Infinity can be defined as “something without any limit”. The concept has applications across disciplines but is particularly critical in mathematics where the concept has been at the center of the field since 1655 when John Wallis, a leading mathematician, defined its mathematical symbol.

NOTE: The course will be hosted via Zoom and will be held on the dates and times below in CENTRAL TIME (CT). As the course is virtual, students do not have to be based in Kansas City to enroll.
