Bio:
Mr. David (Dave) Haney has been teaching mathematics at the high school for nearly 40 years (39). Mr. Haney has taught everything from Algebra 1 to Algebra 3/PreCalc. His favorite courses to teach are geometry and Algebra 2. During his teaching career, Dave coached multiple varsity sports and held the positions of head girls basketball coach, and head boys golf coach during his time at Westerville South High School. When not in school, Dave loves playing golf and hanging out with his family. He and his wife (Kelley) have 5 children (2 of whom are married) and 2 grandchildren.
About the course:
This Spring, the Math+ program will be focused on the concept of Infinity. Infinity can be defined as “something without any limit”. The concept has applications across disciplines but is particularly critical in mathematics where the concept has been at the center of the field since 1655 when John Wallis, a leading mathematician, defined its mathematical symbol.
